my friends dad found this lizard in a crate from mexico not sure what it is need help identifying it so i can set up a habitat for him and hopefully make his life as nice as possible heres the best pic i could get

Hi ,
Well I don't know exact species (Someone here will) , But it definitely looks like an agamid of some kind to me.

I would expect it to need a substrate of sand ,rocks and gravel mixed. A basking lamp at one end where the temp under the lamp should be around 30-32c

I does look like an Agamid in the photo, but I believe there are no Agamids in the Americas?

Maybe a Sceloporus species?

Your probably right James, I know very little about lizards ,more of a snake man .
Closest I could find on a net search was this one

i think you might have it there Alan, they look very similar except for the neck i think maybe I have a juvenile or a female thank you all very much for your help.
